Even with rainy weather, the day offered charming heritage carriages, views of Barron Falls, a relaxed wander through Kuranda Village, and a misty walk among the treetops at Red Peak.

A nostalgic steam railway journey through the Dandenong Ranges aboard the iconic Puffing Billy, complete with scenic forest views, dangling your legs from the carriage sills, and a relaxing stop at Lakeside Station.

A last-minute decision to visit Australia turned into one of my most comfortable long-haul flights yet thanks to United Polaris Business Class. From a relaxing shower and restaurant-style dining at the Polaris Lounge to a spacious lie-flat seat onboard the Boeing 787-9, the journey from San Francisco to Melbourne felt smooth, quiet, and surprisingly restful. It was the perfect way to start an adventure in Australia.
