Jeju Olle Trail 10 – South Korea
What better way to wrap up my last day in Jeju than with another Jeju Olle Trail? I purposely booked a late flight to Seoul so I could squeeze in one more hike before leaving the island. Jeju Olle Trail 10 turned out to be just what I needed—more nature-focused, peaceful, and scenic than the previous routes I’d walked.
The weather started off cloudy, softening the colours of the coastline, but near the end of the hike, the sun broke through and lit up the ocean, making the water shimmer beautifully.
The trail wound through beachside towns and quiet fishing villages, with gentle ocean breezes following me most of the way. The final stretch toward the Trail 11 starting point was a bit hectic because of festival traffic, but when I finally arrived, a kind lady at the trail station greeted me warmly.
We chatted through Google Translate, and she told me about her own experience walking the entire Jeju Olle circuit. I also learned that hikers who complete both 100 km of the Jeju Olle and the Camino de Santiago can receive a special certificate—something I wish I had known earlier!
Since I had an hour before catching the airport bus, she invited me to stay, served me coffee, and even gifted me a book about the Jeju Olle Trail. It was a lovely, unexpected moment of connection that made me want to return to Jeju someday to complete the entire route.
The rest of the day went smoothly—a quick bus ride, a nearly empty security line for foreigners, and one last look at Jeju’s coastline from the plane window.
Background
Jeju Olle Trail 10 (제주올레 10코스) stretches between Hwasun Golden Sand Beach (화순금모래해변) and Moseulpo Port (모슬포항), covering roughly 15.1 km. Known for its tranquil coastal scenery and forest paths, the trail provides stunning views of Sanbangsan Mountain and Songaksan Peak. Trail 10 is ideal for hikers seeking a peaceful walk close to nature while experiencing quiet fishing villages and pristine beaches along Jeju’s southern coastline.
Getting There
From Seogwipo, I took a bus to the starting point of Jeju Olle Trail 10. I found the coordinates on the official Jeju Olle website and used KakaoMap or Naver Map to check bus routes by entering the coordinates directly. The English versions of these apps aren’t perfect, but they’re still reliable enough for navigation. You can also view and follow the Jeju Olle route on either app.
Jeju Olle Trail 10 Starting Point Coordinates: 33.239958, 126.335254
Note: Google Maps doesn’t work well in South Korea—it lacks detailed and updated information, and public transit directions are unavailable due to national security restrictions.
