Jeju Olle Trail 10, South Korea
What better way to wrap up my last day in Jeju than with another Jeju Olle Trail? I purposely booked a late flight to Seoul so I could squeeze in one more hike. Today's trail was more nature-focused, which I preferred. The weather was cloudy, but near the end, the sun peeked through, making the ocean sparkle.
The trail passed through beachside towns and fishing villages, but the final stretch to the Trail 11 starting point was rough due to festival traffic. When I arrived, a lady at the trail station welcomed me. We chatted using Google Translate, and she shared her experience of completing the entire Jeju Olle loop. I also learned that hikers who complete 100 km of Jeju Olle and the Camino can get a certificate—something I wish I had known earlier!
Since I had an hour before my bus to the airport, she invited me to stay, served me coffee, and even gave me a book on Jeju Olle. This trip made me want to return and complete the entire trail someday.
The rest of the journey was smooth—quick security check thanks to a separate foreigner line, where I was the only one in queue!
