South Korea November 2024 – Accommodation, Expenses & Itinerary Report

Below is a detailed overview of my South Korea November 2024 itinerary, accommodation, and expenses. While you can rely on cards in most major stores, cafés, and restaurants, there are still many places—especially local markets, small vendors, and transit card reload machines—that require cash. During my trip, I used AMEX for about 65% of my card transactions and VISA for the remaining 35%.

Before arriving in Korea, I exchanged ₩100,000 and had ₩45,900 left by the time I departed. If you plan on visiting markets, eating at street stalls, or shopping at smaller neighbourhood shops, I’d recommend bringing more cash on hand or having a plan to withdraw locally, as not all places accept cards.
